Babatunde Soyoye from Nigeria, is the co-founder and managing partner of Helios Investment Partners created in 2004. He serves on the board of directors of Africatel Holdings B.V., Helios Towers Nigeria and Interswitch Limited. He was also on the board of directors of Afsat Communications and Nigeria’s Privatisation Share Purchase Loan Scheme (PSPLS).
Prior to Helios Investment Partners, Soyoye was a principal at TPG Capital in London, where he was responsible for all telecommunication and media investments across Europe.
Before joining TPG, he was a senior member of the corporate strategy team at British Telecom, and manager of business development at Singapore Telecom International.
With Soyoye’s long experience of more than 16 years, he played a key role in the execution of over $7 billion of investments across Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.
Soyoye has also served as an executive consultant to Actis West Africa, a private equity firm investing primarily in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Fluent in Yoruba, Soyoye holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an MBA from the University of London.
