    biography

    Mr. Hussain Choucri is the founder, chairman and managing director of HC Securities and Investment; has led the company to become one of the largest financial institutions in the Middle East and North Africa region through its headquarters in Egypt and the UAE. Mr. Choucri joined Morgan Stanley in 1980 in New York where he held the position of Managing Director from 1987 to 1993 and continued to serve as a consultant to Morgan Stanley until the end of December 2007. His responsibilities include overseeing Morgan Stanley’s emerging market activities in the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent where he has participated in a number of privatization projects in Turkey, India and Argentina, as well as executing several advisory functions for Morgan Stanley clients both inside and outside the United States

    Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Hussain Choucri worked with Abu Dhabi Investment Company where he arranged many Euro Syndication and Euro Bond bonds for the interests of governments and private sector companies. Mr. Hussein Choucri is a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES), Edita Food Industries, IDH, Sixth of October Development and Investment (SODIC) and the Egyptian-British Business Council (EBBC). Mr. Hussein Choucri received a Diploma in Management from the American University in Cairo in 1978 and received a Bachelor of Commerce from Ain Shams University in 1972
